Self Portrait

In class we were introduced to facial features.  Our homework. . . a self portrait.  The only requirements were that it include 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth. and it had to be a self portrait, so those features had to be mine.  I had all these abstract, Picasso - ish style plans, but that was the weekend I got sick . . . then Bonnie got sick, and it was my birthday.  So I went more traditional except that I did it as a Venician mask sort of portrait. Kind of like these.

 

So my final project looked like this. 

It was ok.  Not exactly how I pictured it in my mind . . . but I do get a chance to work on it a little more and make it a little better before the end of the semester.
