Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday I took the children to the Red Barn for our second annual Fall hay ride. Unfortunately about 20 minutes before we left Jacob managed to cut his head a little bit and then freak out about it. After I calmed him down and showed him that he had not actually slit his head clear open it just bleeds a lot, I did a little doctoring with New Skin, a glue type stuff. I think I went a little crazy with it because it glued his hair together in one spot and it wouldn't lay down straight. He wasn't bleeding anymore though so we finally packed up and left.

While we were waiting for our turn we had a snack of apple doughnuts and cider. Then the kids loaded up on the wagons which were pulled by a tractor and we were off to the pumpkin patch. Everyone loved the bumpy ride and we had the whole patch to choose from. This actually turned out to be a bad thing, but they finally were able to pick out the perfect pumpkins.

When we were finished, we picked up a couple extra doughnuts for dad and a bag of Johnigold apples and came back home. It turned about to be a very fun trip.
